Join me as I rethink what simple means and rid my home of
toxic food, cleaning and skincare ingredients.

Hi there! I’m so happy you are here. I’m Kristen, a work from home mother of 3 beautiful children, avid DIYer, writer and photographer. I love wholesome real food, gardening, refinishing furniture and most of all spending all of my time with the loves of my life.

Everything I do is for those kiddos in the pictures above and below. Before my first pregnancy I began making small but effective changes to my diet, skincare routine and cleaning products to decrease the toxins that were found inside of my home, and inevitably entering my family’s body. While I’ve learned a lot, there is always more to know and I welcome you to join me on this wonderful journey.

Products I Love

Sourcing good quality food and household products can be difficult. Let me help you by sharing my favorite high quality finds!

When it comes to living a healthy and natural lifestyle, what you put ON your body is just as important as what you put IN it.  Did you know that your skin is your body’s largest organ, and since it is porous, it absorbs whatever you put on it.  Here are just a few of my favorite skin care products.

The food we put into our bodies each and every day have the power to FIGHT disease or FEED it. Really, it’s that simple. Choose wholesome foods with real ingredients and your body will thank you. We only get one shot at this, so together let’s do it right. Here are a few of my favorite food brands.

It’s no doubt that our body will come in contact with so many viruses and bacteria and that at times our immune system will need a boost. Modern medicine is life saving, and a huge blessing to so many. What is also an amazing blessing if the preventative steps we can take to avoid the need of antibiotics and medical treatments until absolutely necessary. Essential oils are my family’s first line of defense.  Let me explain a bit more here!

I used to buy household cleaning products at the grocery store assuming that if they were on the shelf then they would be safe for us to buy. Right? Sadly, I was wrong.  There are no requirements for manufacturers to warn consumers about the health and environmental hazards associated with long-term exposure to chemical ingredients in household cleaning products, chemicals that these products are FULL of. Here are my favorite safe and effective alternatives.
